Why Do Cats Urinate Outside Their Litterbox?

I had to look this up on the internet today because yesterday I was at my computer desk with my files and folders and stuff and my cat was howling. After a while he came upstairs to where I was and came in and just literally peed on one of my folders! I just couldn't believe it but I knew right away that I shouldn't raise my voice to him but I decided to look this up right away!

I searched online and, of course, found many links to many related articles

including:

"If your cat pees on your bed or any other "personal" lounging area, she is basically telling you she is really mad at you. So many times people have asked me, "Why does my cat pee on my bed the day I get home from vacation"? The answer is she is mad, she was lonely all the time you were gone. If you have a visitor, she might pee on the bed they are sleeping in. I'm telling you it is how they tell us not to leave them alone. Be sure to give her LOADS of affection when you return, don't let her out of your sight and take the few minutes to really show her you missed her. To be safe, curtail this by placing a shower curtain liner on the bed, with an old comforter or blanket over the plastic (important, cats like to pee on plastic) before you leave. It will save you from having to strip the entire bed before you can retire from your long day of travel."

I think that what this article is trying to tell me is that my cat was mad at me for not paying attention to him - the solution? Well I guess I just have to start paying him more attention - LOL!

Here's An Interesting Cat Video

Found this interesting video online!

I still have yet to put up my own Christmas tree and I'm wondering how my cat will react to it because it will be her first Christmas tree.

This video reminded me of it

Pit Boss

I saw a very interesting show on TV last night called "Pit Boss". It's about a "little" person who runs an entertainment agency but his great love is pit bulls and he runs a pit bull rescue service.

On last night's show he was helping a man who was down on his luck. He was living in a trailer and he was also unemployed. He also had a pit bull that he was trying to keep but it was hard to be able to afford money for dog food. He did have the opportunity to have a job waiting for him in another state but he did not have any money in order to get there.

The "Pit Boss" and his crew managed to give the man some extra dog food and they even gave him some money so that he could afford to buy groceries for him self.

In the meantime in order to help the man to be able to get to the other state for the job that was waiting for him, the crew decided to hold a fundraising event for the man. At the screening of a movie about pit bulls the crew asked for donations to help the man and his dog relocate to another state so that he could get a job.

Their goal was to raise $1,000 but they only managed to raise $400. So what they did was they decided to put some of their own money. So they were able to raise the $1,000 they needed to help this man get back on his feet!

It was a very interesting show and it comes on The Animal Planet station.

If you are looking for sources of money you may want to see if you are on the list for unclaimed money. You can check out this blog to find out more information about unclaimed money.

Here Is One Affectionate Kitty!

I saw this posted online. It is a video of a policeman writing out a ticket to someone but during this a cat decides to become affectionate with the policeman.

I should warn you that this is part of a news story and there is a scene where the policeman is kicking the cat away - but if it makes you feel better the policeman did regret doing this.

I was kind of hoping for a happy ending where the policeman decided to adopt the cat but the story didn't say.

Here is a link to both the news story and the video.

3rd Annual Crippled Critter Benefit

I came upon an interesting blog post about an event called The 3rd Annual Crippled Critter Benefit. Here is an excerpt from the blog post:

"We have a date and a starting point and we are getting ready for this years Crippled Critter Benefit event. Dixie Thunder of Aiken County holds an annual event to help support the animals in our private sanctuary for disabled pets.... "

This sounds like a very good pet cause indeed!

The Postal Kitty Finds A New Home!

Here is another heart-warming story about an abandoned pet that has now found a new home!

If you have any opinions that you would like to share about this then please comment and let me know!

I think its terrible the ways that some people treat their pets. And I am all for there being stiff penalties for those that harm and abuse animals! Just a few days ago on my local news was a story about a cat being lit on fire and the culprit was a young boy!

Terrible news! But I am glad that at least this story has a happy ending!

It takes less than a minute (about 15 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals for free'. This doesn't cost you a thing.

Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.
